Integrated Projection Systems for Hollywood 3D Feature Films
GDC Technology, one of the leading solution providers of digital cinema today announced Asia, Europe and US exhibitors have selected GDC’s DCI-2000 Digital Cinema Integrated Projection Systems for the screening of Hollywood latest 3D blockbuster – Beowulf. DCI-2000 System provides the exhibitors with a centralized control panel for the full suite of functions they use every day, including such operations as scheduling of content, configuration of server and projector to meet 2D and 3D screening requirements and theater automation. DCI-2000 System is robustly built to ensure seamless integration between server, projector, theatre-automation and sound system to eliminate the weakest link among the equipment used in the theatre.

The four 3D digital cinemas were installed in time for the Beowulf 3D presentation in November.

DCI-2000 System is agnostic to 3D technology and supports both passive and active polarization 3D technologies so as to bring the best cost performance to meet individual exhibitor needs. By selecting open standard 3D technology, the exhibitors will not be tied to costly proprietary solution and can benefit from the competitive 3D vendors.
