Sonic Equipment Company, an industry leader in digital cinema integration and Rogers Cinema, are proud to announce the successful completed conversion of all seven of Roger Cinemas Theatres throughout Wisconsin. All 38 of Rogers Cinema’s screens feature Christie’s award winning series II projectors, GDC servers and Datasat AP20 audio processors.
“Sonic Equipment was extremely helpful in all phases of our conversion. I always felt that we were in good hands with the Sonic team and they continue to be there for us for any questions we have,” said Scott Koran, CEO at Rogers Cinema.
In June of 2011 Marshfield Cinema 8 in Marshfield WI was the first of the conversions to take place. The remaining screens were converted during an accelerated rollout over the next ten months. Rogers had set a goal to be completely converted to digital by the end of 2012 and Sonic was able to help Scott and his crew eclipse their goal by finishing in February of 2012.
“We are thrilled that with 100% conversion, Rogers Cinema can now provide an enhanced movie going experience to their customers,” said Ron Hageman, Installation Supervisor at Sonic Equipment. “It has been exciting to be a part of their conversion process from start to finish. We look forward to many years of continued partnership.”
As Sonic continues to partner with community-owned theatres and independent exhibitors during their transition to digital cinema, Sonic has been able to provide exhibitors, like Rogers Cinema a unique and customized program which includes a broad selection of equipment from top manufacturers in digital cinema, installation by certified technicians and a custom Preventative Maintenance program.
