For the first time, Dolby will demonstrate the new Dolby® Atmos platform as well as high frame rate (HFR), 4K, and 3D visual capabilities at the Brenden Theatres in the Palms Hotel.

Ushering in a New Era of Sound Technology
Announced Monday, April 23, at CinemaCon 2012, the Dolby Atmos platform expands the creative possibilities for content creators, allowing them to use audio to dramatically enhance the visuals onscreen to help draw audiences into the story. Dolby Atmos uses the tools that sound designers and mixers currently favor, ensuring that they can efficiently create truly compelling content.
A key feature of Dolby Atmos is the ability to capture, distribute, and faithfully render audio in a way that is not limited by channels or fixed speaker locations. Due to this inherent scalability and adaptability, exhibitors can build theatres with customized speaker configurations that optimize performance based on room size and shape. This approach improves the listening experience for audiences, regardless of the theatre design.

Pushing Digital Cinema to the Limits:
Dolby Integrated Media Block and DSS220 Screen Server
The latest addition to the Dolby Digital Cinema family of products, the Dolby Integrated Media Block (IMB) offers exhibitors a platform for the future. With fully built-in support for HFR 3D (both 48 and 60 frames per second) and 2K and 4K playback, all at a single price, the IMB combines compatibility, lasting value, and cost-effectiveness.
The smallest and lightest screen server on the market, the DSS220 takes only 2U of vertical rack space, easing space constraints and simplifying installation. Rather than combining the server and media block functionality in one chassis as in the DSS200 Screen Server, the IMB is installed directly in the cinema projector.

Dolby Screen Server (DSS200)A DCI-compliant software update is now available for the DSS200 Screen Server. The software update, version 4.4.0, allows existing owners to upgrade their servers to be compliant with DCI Cinema Systems Specification, version 1.2, with no additional hardware required to meet DCI compliance. Version 4.4.0 features the user-friendly Dolby user interface, offering quality and functionality to customers.
Dolby Cinema Processor (CP750)The Dolby CP750, the flagship cinema audio processor, will also be on display in the Dolby booth. The Dolby CP750 makes the upgrade from 5.1- to 7.1-channel surround sound easy and economical. Designed to work with the new digital cinema environment, the Dolby CP750 seamlessly integrates with preshow servers, alternative content, and digital cinema servers. With an easy-to-use interface and powerful setup/remote software, the CP750 can play back analog audio, PCM digital audio, Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital Surround EX™, and Dolby Surround 7.1.
Dolby Milestones in Digital Cinema and 3D
More than 3,600 global installations of Dolby Surround 7.1 have been conducted since the technology launched in June 2010. Dolby Surround 7.1 has been used by major studios around the world, with more than 60 features released or set to be released in this format.
With more than 13,300 Dolby Screen Servers shipped since April 2005, Dolby has been instrumental in driving the convergence of digital cinema around the world.
In addition, Dolby continues to see global traction in 3D, shipping more than 9,800 Dolby 3D Digital Cinema systems since November 2007. Dolby 3D delivers an efficient and flexible solution designed to provide audiences with an immersive 3D experience.
