Dolby Cinema expanded to 11
countries with 19 exhibitors
Dolby
Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB) returns to CineAsia 2018 on December 10-13 at
Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center (HKCEC) to highlight the growing
momentum of Dolby Atmos and Dolby Cinema. Dolby will showcase its full spectrum
of industry-leading solutions, including newly available products to deliver
end-to-end audio, imaging, accessibility, and postproduction solutions for the
cinema industry.
Dolby Atmos has
become the preferred choice for next generation sound in the cinema,
with more than 4,200 screens installed in over 90
countries. Asia Pacific has embraced
Dolby Atmos, with more than 2,300 screens installed across nearly 20 countries in the region. There is also a growing trend globally
of exhibitors outfitting their entire multiplex with Dolby Atmos with 45 cinema
multiplexes in which every screen is equipped with Dolby Atmos.

The creative
community has also embraced Dolby Atmos across the globe; including
all major Hollywood studios as well as content creators in Asia Pacific,
North America and Latin America. There are over 190 mixing facilities
and more than 1,150 feature films released or announced to date.
Dolby
Cinema continues to expand with more than 390 locations open or
committed with 19 exhibitor partners in 11 countries, including nearly 180
locations open or committed in China. Dolby Cinema combines Dolby Atmos
with the Dolby Vision Laser Projection System, and an auditorium designed to
put the moviegoer inside the story. Dolby Cinema most recently
debuted in Japan with T-Joy in Hakata, Fuokuka and will open soon
in the UK with Odeon in Leicester Square. In China, the Dolby Cinema footprint
keeps expanding,
with the first location at Jinyi
Cinemas newly opened in Wuhan, and the first location at CJ CGV recently opened
in Shanghai.

Dolby Integrated Media Server IMS3000
An innovative imaging server and audio processor in one, the Dolby
Integrated Media Server IMS3000 delivers reliability and enables exhibitors to
show movies with superior sound. The Dolby IMS3000 increases exhibitors
purchasing power compared to many other solutions. The solution also offers flexibility
with sound as exhibitors can start with Dolby Audio 5.1 or 7.1 sound now and
unlock the power of Dolby Atmos later. The Dolby IMS3000 now features flexible
storage options, and a new robust feature set.
Dolby Multichannel Amplifier
The Dolby Multichannel Amplifier is an advanced, high-density design that
can replace up to 16 stereo amplifiers. With less equipment to install, power,
and maintain, exhibitors get a simpler and more efficient installation. The
amplifier supports Dolby Atmos, as well as Dolby Audio 5.1/7.1., signal
processing for loudspeaker crossovers and equalization, and enhanced power
handling for lower-impedance loudspeakers. The 16 channel (DMA16302) and 24
channel (DMA24302) configurations provide an 8-channel analog input module that
allows direct integration with the Dolby Digital Cinema Processor CP750 and
other cinema sound processors used in 5.1/7.1 surround sound installations.
SLS Cinema Series Speaker System
The SLS Cinema Series Speaker System delivers exceptionally clear and
powerful audio experiences with superior dynamic range, and ultra-clear high
frequency from any seat in the house. The SLS Cinema Series Speaker System is
ideal for 5.1 and 7.1 Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos auditoriums, and includes a
full line of screen channel speaker systems, subwoofers, surround speakers, and
overhead speakers. The SLS 3-Axis Speaker line delivers clear and powerful
sound in a small, light package that's easier and quicker to install, for any
size auditorium.
